Prayers for Sergio's Father

I have been without internet with the exception of a few days for quite some time, so I'm just getting the chance to add this now. Last Saturday morning Sergio got a call that his father had fallen and was in the hospital with a swollen neck, unable to feel his legs. Early that same afternoon he had surgery on his neck to alleviate the swelling, so he could regain feeling. The surgery was successful and he was told he had had a heart attack. He is still in the hospital, but out of the ICU. He is scheduled for heart surgery next week to put a stint in one of his arteries. This has been really hard on Serg, especially being so far away and unable to see his father or help the family. Please keep him (his name is Simon) in your prayers along with the entire Rangel family, that he has a speedy and full recovery!!

Settlement

Well, we got news yesterday that we should be settling on Friday. We're hoping that it doesn't get pushed back and I will post pictures as soon as we close!! Thank you for all the prayers and support!

Update on Moving...

Well we are currently living in a hotel and will be until...well we're not really sure. The appraisal was done yesterday and we are now hoping to close by the end of the month. Things have gotten extremely stressful and with some other things going on, I'm struggling. I'm trying my best to give everything to God and be patient and calm, but it's proven to be quite the challenge. Please keep our family in your prayers, that everything gets worked out and we can finally get settled somewhere. Thanks for all the love, support and prayers!

New Job!

Serg started his new job with NEK on Monday at Fort Belvoir in Alexandria, VA. They are still getting him all set up, but so far so good! He is really happy and that's what matters most! This is a huge opportunity for him. He is actual working with some of the people that he served with in the Army in Colorado. Wish him luck!

On Saturday Sergio and I attended my cousin Tim's wedding at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA. Sergio was their photographer. We had a really great time and the wedding was beautiful! Family from New York came down and it was great visiting! The best part of the night had to be the dance off between my brother and his friend. The entire place was laughing so hard!!

It's coming along....

Hopefully by the end of next week this will be us. We got our lease extended by a week since closing got pushed back, and now we're scheduled to be out no later than the 15th. The only thing they have left to complete is replacing the windows. I have faith that the Lord will work everything out for us. Although I'm normally a "stress bucket" as most of my family is, I think I've done surprisingly well throughout this whole process. I am confident that I feel no stress because in the beginning I prayed that God would take everything from me, all my stress and my need to control things. It's been a great process and I'm hoping that it ends smoothly and without problems, but then again, whoever wishes for problems? As soon as we settle I will post pictures, but I don't want to jinx anything just yet.

Holy cow!!

Well God has blessed us once again. On Thursday Serg got an offer from a company that he interviewed with several weeks ago. The offer was well....amazing to say the least. We never imagined it in our wildest dreams. We are still in shock. Serg put in his 2 weeks this afternoon and will start his new job on the 19th. Say a few prayers for him that everything goes smoothly while changing jobs.

Last Wednesday, Serg and I headed down to Camp Lejeune, NC to visit my brother and to pin him for his promotion. He was promoted from Lance Corporal to Corporal. It was such an honor for both of us to be able to pin him! We had such a great time seeing him!!
