Our Saturday

Today we rearranged the furniture, took MacKenzie to the groomer distressed, stained and hung up shelves and hung a bunch of pictures. Not sure yet if I like the living room the way its set up, but we can always change it back. Boy I'm tired!

Camping Trip

Cooking dinner....on a stick! mmmm :)No there was no campsite accident or explosion. Just a time exposure on the camera!Last weekend, Sergio and I went into the mountains of Pennsylvania to do some camping and photograph Ricketts Glen with beautiful fall colors. We had a blast! It got down around 30 degrees over night but we stayed warm! Kenzie came with us too and even as cold as it was, went swimming in the waterfalls! Cool Little Story

A cool thing happened the other day while looking through Serg's art history book....

I think everyone knows that Serg served 2 tours in Iraq, and well I know it too. But when I think of him serving, I think Iraq....hot and sandy, just a huge desert. As Serg was looking through his art history book, he goes, "Kate, I've been here before. I took pictures of our team here" I just thought it was pretty neat. The picture was of The Ishtar Gate in Babylon. It was built during the reign of King Nebuchadnezzar II (604-562BC) That's so awesome!. So what he saw over there, wasn't just war. It was an awesome trip through history, that not many Americans will ever get a chance to take. It's a unique experience. I also think it will be cool for him to tell our kids that he actually got to see these places in person and not just in a book.

Cam had a 4 day this past weekend and was granted leave to come home! It was soo great to see him! He brought his girlfriend Brittani home with him too. It was great to meet her! She seems to make him really happy, and well that makes me happy! We found out when he was home that he is scheduled to graduate MOS School on Dec. 12. He is going to try to make it home for both Thanksgiving and Christmas, so we're keeping our fingers crossed. He should find out his first duty station around the time of his graduation. Keep up the good work Rich! I was awesome to see you! Hope to see you again soon! Love you!

Sergio!!

I'm so excited. Sergio just started his first day of online classes today! He is studying for a Bachelors in Graphic Design. I'm so proud of him!

During a recent trip to San Antonio for business, Sergio got to see his family. While there our nephews, Eli, Coven and Ayden drew these for Uncle Sergio. Thanks boys! We love them!

Serg and I got to hang out after this week long TDY, which was nice. We had Mom and Dad over on Saturday and watched the G-men play on Sunday. Had a great weekend together!
