Our First REAL Christmas Tree
This is the first year Serg and I have gotten a real tree. We carried on the tradition of when I was younger by going out and cutting down our own. Serg thought it was awesome and was so excited to bring it home! This is tradition that we'll keep going!

Kids Driving the Jeep
Our New Home
Well its only taken me a month to post these....but for good reason. My mom has the "before" pictures on her camera, and I keep forgetting to get them from her. I was hoping to post them together so you could see the difference, but I guess I will just have to post them separately. We've done a little painting and decorating since we've moved in, but these are from the day we settled....
Grandpa Carpenter
As some of you have heard, on November 13, my Grandfather, Adam Benjamin Carpenter passed away at the age of 87. We traveled up to New York for the viewing and the funeral. They had a beautiful service and a military funeral for him. I was really proud of my Dad for getting up and talking during the service before the funeral, he did really good. Please continue prayers for comfort for my family and especially my Grandma.

Prayers for Sergio's Father
I have been without internet with the exception of a few days for quite some time, so I'm just getting the chance to add this now. Last Saturday morning Sergio got a call that his father had fallen and was in the hospital with a swollen neck, unable to feel his legs. Early that same afternoon he had surgery on his neck to alleviate the swelling, so he could regain feeling. The surgery was successful and he was told he had had a heart attack. He is still in the hospital, but out of the ICU. He is scheduled for heart surgery next week to put a stint in one of his arteries. This has been really hard on Serg, especially being so far away and unable to see his father or help the family. Please keep him (his name is Simon) in your prayers along with the entire Rangel family, that he has a speedy and full recovery!!

Update on Moving...
Well we are currently living in a hotel and will be until...well we're not really sure. The appraisal was done yesterday and we are now hoping to close by the end of the month. Things have gotten extremely stressful and with some other things going on, I'm struggling. I'm trying my best to give everything to God and be patient and calm, but it's proven to be quite the challenge. Please keep our family in your prayers, that everything gets worked out and we can finally get settled somewhere. Thanks for all the love, support and prayers!
New Job!
Serg started his new job with NEK on Monday at Fort Belvoir in Alexandria, VA. They are still getting him all set up, but so far so good! He is really happy and that's what matters most! This is a huge opportunity for him. He is actual working with some of the people that he served with in the Army in Colorado. Wish him luck!

On Saturday Sergio and I attended my cousin Tim's wedding at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, VA. Sergio was their photographer. We had a really great time and the wedding was beautiful! Family from New York came down and it was great visiting! The best part of the night had to be the dance off between my brother and his friend.
