Update
It's been 2 and a half weeks since my cousin moved in with us and everything is going great. He's applied for a ton of jobs and is working on getting his drivers license. Keep praying that he continues to do well.
This past weekend we visited my Dad's side of the family in Syracuse, NY. We had a really good time!! It was great to see everyone and I got a lot of great information for my family tree! My Uncle Mike taught Dad and Serg to play Ladder Golf and they had a lot of fun. Can't wait for next year!

The Final Inspection
The Final Inspection
The solider stood and faced his God
Which must always come to pass
He hoped his shoes were shining
Just as brightly as his brass
"Step forward now you solider,
How shall I deal with you?
Have you always turned the other cheek
And to my church have you been true?"
The soldier squared his shoulders and said,
"No Lord, I guess I aint,
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can't always be a saint.
I've had to work most Sundays
And at times my talk was tough
And sometimes I've been violent
Because the streets were awfully rough
But I never took a penny
That wasn't mine to keep
Though I worked a lot of overtime
When the bills just got too steep,
And I never passed a cry for help
Although, at times I shook with fear
And sometimes, God forgive me
I've wept ummanly tears
I know I dont deserve a place
Among the people here
That never wanted me around
Except to calm their fears
If you have place for me here O'Lord
It needn't be so grand
I've never expected, or had so much
But if you don't, I'll understand
There was a silence all around the throne
Where the Saints had often trod
As this solider waited quietly
For the judgment from his God
"Step forward now you solider
You've borne your burden's well
Walk peacefully on Heaven's streets,
You've done your time in Hell"

New York Trip!
This past weekend Sergio and I went to Port Jervis, Ny to my Grandfather's house. He lives on top of a mountain with rights to a little lake behind his house. We got to see most of my cousins and all by 2 of my aunts and uncles. We had a really great time! Sergio got to fish for the first time, and even caught a fish! I helped Jake roast a hot dog on a open fire and then we did smores! It was great to see all the family again! Can't wait until next year!

Awesome Story...
Woman receives heart from fallen Ranger
ROSEMOUNT, Minn. — Army Cpl. Benjamin Kopp, a Ranger, died last month after being wounded in Afghanistan, but a part of the Minnesota soldier lives on.
His family agreed to donate his organs, and now a 57-year-old Chicago woman feels privileged to have received the Rosemount soldier’s heart.
Judy Meikle says she got a call about Kopp’s death two weeks ago from the soldier’s cousin, who’s her close friend. His heart was a perfect match for Meikle.
She says she now has the heart of an Army Ranger who’s a bona fide hero.
Kopp served two tours in Iraq before his tour in Afghanistan as a member of the 3rd Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment based in Fort Benning, Ga. He will be buried Friday at Arlington National Cemetery.
The 21-year-old died July 18 after being wounded in battle.

Writing A Contract....
Shrimp and Pasta
Seems like I only post pictures of shrimp dinners, but this one made it into Serg's top three favorite meals that I make. I really should post more pictures of the food I make, since I really enjoy cooking. Anyways...Serg picked up cooked shrimp this weekend and then went out an worked on one of our cars. I decided to "try" something new. I made angel hair pasta with green and red bell peppers, mushrooms and a little olive oil, toped with cooked old bay shrimp. It was super easy to make and Serg loved it! He actually ate the leftovers today for lunch :)
